I graduated with an IT degree and have worked in a company doing firewall implementation for a year, later to a pentesting company for a few months. I currently have CCNA and CISA and preparing for OSCP.
With that said, I have very basic skills on networking and security skills. To be very frank, I feel like knowing not much in both area and just hoping to land for an entry level IT job and not be jobless, hopefully still something related to cybersecurity if that is possible. I heard that the entry barrier in Canada is high and no one will hire a fresh graduate to do cybersecurity. Then I probably won't be able to land a cybersecurity job with my lack of experience. So if I am to look for other kind of IT entry level job, what should I do to prepare for that?
Any experienced cybersecurity person can tell me what kind of job I should look for in Canada and how to better prepare before I land in Canada? The main goal is to not be jobless and become homeless. Better goal is to land a cybersecurity job.
