I am an Indian citizen. I have been in the US since 2013 on a student visa (sidenote: I'm graduating next month, so my student status will expire then). I am applying for a visitor's visa. If I applied from the US, my country of residence would've been US, am I right? Now, if I visit India for a month and apply there, what should be my country of residence?

Your country of residence is where you are living at the time. If you are in India, then it is India. If you are in the US, then it is the US. Be aware that the first place that you will be asked to submit a passport is the country of residence. If you have changed residence between submission and passport request, you will need to contact IRCC and ask them to change the passport request to the country in which you are residing.
