Yup, you are right. Processing time for temporary resident Visa & Study Permit is same in case of CHC CHD but in case of CHC Delhi its 7 days for temporary resident Visa & 3 weeks for study permit.

Hello anmol,

I think that if they are mentioning any timeline then it is to be taken as a reference.Remember that there are many people who get the visa in a matter of days.It all depends on how strong is your case.

A forum member IamWalrus got his visa in 1 day.He applied under SPP.

Don't fret at the change in the timeline schedule posted on their website. If your case is strong u will get it in a week or may be less.

All the best for ur application.

THE CHANGE IN TIME SCHEDULE is not a welcome move . I Think chc delhi is excellent example of fast processing which should be followed by other chc centers also.

as regards example of i am the walrus.. he filed application much earlier..so his application was processed fast.. please see the average time its taking these days ( peak time of visa filing i.e november)..
even in case of very strong profile.they take time , if its filed in late october or november.

Nope!
Well, their timeline usually means number of working days excluding holidays but I don't want to scare you guys as I am not sure what they mean here as they haven't specified.

But as everybody is stating and as per my own experience, if everything is as per checklist and if you have a strong case (Strong Case= Good Academics, no gap or justified gap, sufficient loan and good/strong home ties) you can get it as early as a week.

IAmWalrus's case was different as he applied in the second week of October (as obviously his case must be strong). As stated in another thread earlier, as time passes rush increases and rush is tremendous at CHD CHC as there are GOOD number of students willing to go to Canada from Punjab and thats the reason they had to increase the depicted time (as compared to the rest of India).

But all the best to all the applicants and may you all get your VISAs ASAP without any further wait.
