Hey there, I have recently received a request to send my original passport for my TRV to Ottawa immigration main office. I have applied within Canada.
I want to complete this procedure in this order:
1. Get an Express-post envelope for a smaller (return) letter. Write my return address on the smaller letter.
2. Get a UPS envelope for a bigger letter. Write Courier address on my bigger letter.
3. Include my passport, confirmation letter from CIC (IMM5740) and return letter with envelope inside of the bigger letter.
4. Send it via UPS tracking option (with signature).
Is there any other way to do this process faster and more secure? I just read that it is better not to use UPS return envelope because the immigration office doesn’t send via UPS. As well what does "Please quote these reference numbers when referring to this application" mean in IMM5740 form?
