What is the implication of having two expression interest

Please I need to be educated. My wife is already in the MPNP program pool with a score of 615 awaiting invitation to apply but a friend suddenly advised we can enter into the Express Entry pool.
Please, I want to know if we would not jeopardize our chances or how do we go about it.
