Hello All,

Could someone please assist regarding the good amount that needs to be shown in ITR of father in order to apply for study visa and increases the chances of approval?

My Dad is a businessman and has a seasonal business of production so how much amount will be good amount? Moreover, I know for the service professional it is good to show anything more than 5 lakhs but what about businessman?

Thanks in advance.

At 30, why do you need to show your father's ITR? What program/level are you applying for? Is your father footing your entire bill?
That’s what I am confused.
I have an education loan 2 times my fees and also have my ITR. I have applied for Business Analytics one year Graduate program under SDS.

What is your confusion? Did someone request your father's ITR from you?

I just wanted to know that is ITR of parents required in SDS category to apply for study visa? If yes then what’s the minimum amount?

My consultant asked me for my parents ITR and it should be around 5-6 lakhs INR. He also said that under SDS it’s not mandatory so we can omit that, but I don’t want to take any chance and want to know will that affect my visa approval?

Your post didn't ask if it was required; you wanted to know what amount is good to show.

There's absolutely no reason why your parent's ITR will be required for you to apply for a SP as a mature applicant, unless they are footing your entire bill.

Okay thanks

Hello All,

My consultant told me that ITR is not required but you need to mention the annual income of parents. Unfortunately, my dad has seasonal business and he did earn much annually and consultant told me that we need to show around 5.5 lakhs INR as an income.

So now they tole me that I can show my brother as an income support.

Does this all really require?

what your consultant replied on this. if you want this forum to give you honest opinion, the answer is with your age 30yrs, IRCC would expect proof of fund to come from you. It could be other way around if you were 18 or minor. But at 30, they expect you to be independent.

To answer your question,

Does this really require? the answer is proof of fund is one of other criteria to get SP. there are others. and at 30, using your brother statement will not appeal VO. thanks

You are not understanding my point. I am working since 8 years with an annual income around 7 lakhs but the point is for my visa they said that we need to show parents income as well.

If IRCC said they need your parent income, then go ahead and provide. If your consultant is saying so, you either trust consultant and give the details or check IRCC to verify if parents income is required for applicant. If they its not enough and your consultant want to you use your brother's then go ahead. I understood your point, it was about if it is sufficient or add your brother income, but my reply was more than that

Yeah, since my father's annual income is just around 2 lakhs last year and mother is a homemaker so they want to add my brother's details and income as support. Today I got this affidavit from the near by court as advised by the consultant.

Thanks for understanding. And yes, I will check of IRCC really need this information under SDS category.
