Hi everybody,
I plan to apply for PNP and I'm looking for an exact definition of "permanent job offer" defined by CIC.
Does anyone know it?

My job offer says "Your employment will commence on MM/DD/YYYY and will remain effect for the duration of your work permit. For the purpose of identifying your last day of employment, the work permit expiry date will apply".
Is it considered a permanent job offer?

Thank you.

No, it is temporary as it has an end date.

You might be able to negotiate this - it could say something like:

This is an offer of permanent employment, contingent on your ability to obtain permanent resident status in Canada. Your employment will commence on MM/DD/YYYY and will remain effect for the duration of your authorized stay in Canada. If you are unable to obtain permanent residence, the work permit expiry date will serve as your end date."

Agreed with the above. All job contracts usually have a clause stating that you need to be authorized to work for the position to be valid. However permanent is generally not restricted by a specific term (i.e. end date, for example a 1 year contract).
