Hello, can I have a question about the Express entry RCMP police clearance finger print request.

Is it true that everyone needs to do it or only a small portion of canadicate needs to do it? I am asking because I am not sure if I should do it in advanced before the EE application is submitted.

Does anyone happen to know about this? It seems I have seen a lot of applicant doing the RCMP finger print lately.

Thank you.

Generally, only inland candidates get asked to provide RCMP clearance. I had spent less than 6 months in Canada when I applied, so that's probably why I wasn't asked for one, however, there have been cases on this forum of people who were never asked for one either despite having lived here for years. It's really hard to predict, to be honest.

Yeah actually they dont ask for it in the list of items but halfway through they asked it from me and my spouse. I'm CEC.

So if you want to avoid any delay and willing to pay for it, you can submit that upfront as part of the PCC. Up to you.

Hello sir, thank you for the information. I also assume that CIC will request the RCMP clearance if they need it. I am a FSW applicant but I have been in the country for about one year now. If there a CIC website that specifically said that the RCMP is only required after CIC asked for it?

Right now I am very concerned that if I submit the application with the RCMP, the application may get rejected

Hello Sir, because I am about to submit the application in about two days. If I just submit the application with RCMP (only with PCC from my home country), will the application be rejected because of this?

Thanks

The RCMP clearance is not required at the time of submission.

You wont be rejected. You will be requested to send the RCMP clearance if they need it. You can just upload the PCCs for your home country and any country you lived more than 6 months as stated.

Hope that helps

At what stage they asked for it? At IP1 or IP2?

You wont get rejected for submitting. Some actually do it to avoid any chance that CIC request and you lose time getting the report. So its really up to you and there is not definite rule on who needs to have it who doesnt.
