An approved LMIA and a letter from your employer confirming they have offered you a permanent job in Canada.

Thank you so much!! I have questions again.

1. I have been working with work permit since 2012 Dec. It is still valid until 2015 Dec. And it is under an approved LMO issued 2012 Nov not LMIA. Is it OK?

2. About a letter confirming my employer has offered a permenant job to me. My job is a permenant job. My employer offered it. So should I ask my employer a letter? Does it have a certain format? If it has, please let me know.

Thank you.

Unclear how CIC will deal with older LMOs, some have been accepted. You should try.

Yes, you will need a Letter of Employment from your current employer in any case. The letter should additionally state that the offer is for permanent employment, conditional on your obtaining permanent resident status.

Thank you.

Does it mean I can submit the job offer letter I got from my employer as a offer of arranged employment? Or should I get a new letter from my employer now?

Old one will work. But 2 things
1. Job should be permanent, Non-Seasonal & full time and that should be mentioned in your job offer.
2. The work permit you were granted for this job should be LMIA/LMO approved.

Even though my job is permanent and non-seasonal, however, those are not mentioned on my old job offer letter because my employer didn't know to mention about them on the letter at that time. I have asked my employer recently about it. He said he can make new letter that include all informations requested.

And for sure, my work permit was granted by approved LMO.

So the new letter will be OK as a offer of arranged employment document?

Hi All,

I am also in same boat. Have valid LMO , Permanent job and received ITA.

I am confused with the LMO start and end date to fill details in application. It should be as per my Work permit mentioned date Or need to fill start and end date of my LMO approval and expiry date. (LMO expiry date is 6 month however got approval for 2 years and still valid )

Please advise how you guys has filled ?

Thanks,

LMO expiry date i.e., opinion expiry date not the work permit expiry date.
