What is difference between new IRCC Portal and GC Key?

I am looking to apply super visa for my parents but I am very confused between the new IRCC Portal and GC Key. Before we used to create GC Key and sign up for IRCC and start the application. but recently, this IRCC Portal was introduced. Does someone know if one way is faster than the other?

Also, as I am applying on behalf of my parents, should the IRCC Portal account be under my father/mother's name?

I'm also interested in the answer. The first time I went to the canada ca site, I was directed to the IRCC. The site maintenance happened and I'm unable to find the IRCC login page anymore so I use the GC key login to fill up the forms.
