what is better for a dependent parent to visit children, supervisa or visit visa

Hi,

I am a PR holder and I want to bring my dad here to toronto on a visit. But not sure which one is better and easy to get , a super visa or a visit visa. He wants to visit us for couple of months at the most. He is 75+ year old, retired and has no pension, we send him money every month for his expenses and maintenance but he lives in his own house. someone told me that it is hard to get a visit visa if he has no income or at least pension in back home. is that true? Please advise what should I do to get him here on a visit for few months.

Yes, and it is harder if his only income comes from his family in Canada. That is almost a guaranteed refusal.

Supervisa is a type of TRV that has more requirements.

I would suggest TRV. Good luck.
