What is best way to file Visa application from UAE, Online, VFS or Embassy?

I need to confirm, what is the best way to file Visa application from UAE
1-Online
2-VFS
3-Direct Embassy

For Online applicants, I need to confirm is it possible to submit the supporting documents such as bank statements, finance sponsorship letters & cover letters?

I have the same question, I'm trying to apply online, but it doesn't seem to let me attach anything except a strict list of documents, how do I upload my supporting docs?

for online applications, you should make every supporting documents you want to attach as one, big file (pdf probably) and then upload it.

Yeah, I get that, but if I, for example, would like to upload my plane ticket booking or documents for residency, where would I upload them? To letter of explanation? Cause all the other options are pretty limited (application, family info, photo, passport, proof of funding, trv application). Thank you!

I think VFS is the best way. They will check your materials to judge whether they are complete or not before they hand them in to the Embassy. I used VFS. Once they called me and informed me that another material was needed. And I got the student visa in 40 days. It would be really slowly if you apply directly to the Embassy.

I considering VFS aswell now as I check the online, not all documents we can attach.
But only concern is their response time, not sure how much time they will take. As mention in their website-8 weeks will be fine.

If anyone from UAE got visa recently applying online then you should go with online application. IT is a little bit fast(considering Pakistan and Bangladesh) and you can submit it by sitting home. But people from Philippines are waiting a lot applying online. So it depends if anyone has got visa from your country applying online.

I have some supporting documents aswell i-e House and property docs to show ties. these documents will not be easy to put in 1 pdf of 4mb.

yes it is easy. just keep your photo resolution to minimum. Use 200-250kb per pic this way you can add16-20 pages.

Hey guys,
I would like to know something regarding applying for Canadian study permit to the UAE.

I am from India. Working in kuwait. I'll be applying to Univ of Ottawa for Fall-2014 for MEng Engineering Management.
Since I'll be on a very tight work schedule around the time of application. I am trying to prepare everything beforehand.

First of all, what are my chances applying from UAE? Would my travel history be a problem - I was brought up in UAE. Lived there for almost 17 years. 6 years in India. Travelled to Kuwait 3 times(on vacation) in these 6 years. Working in Kuwait for more than an year now. Have travelled to germany on business. Could this be a problem?

Second, while going through (http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/uae-eau/visas/53_1.aspx?lang=eng) checklist I came across "Proof of Funds"? How do I have to show this since I send all my money to India and don't maintain anything (but what's required for my living) in my Kuwait bank account? Is it necessary that I have to show what I have in my Kuwait account (this I can though, the history of transfer). All I have and what I am going to put in for my studies is in my Indian Savings Account.
What else do I have take into account while applying to the UAE Consulate?

Chances are low but if you can put up a good profile showing genuine interest in study then no problem.

As long as all are genuine no problem at all.

It is better if you can show your account in Kuwait as sometimes they verify it and if you give your Indian account they might not verify it. You can show both account this way they will see transactions.

Bank Account - I don't understand why they are so particular about showing the regional bank account details. i Can give them all the bank account (Indian and Kuwait) detail. Is there a way we can convince them?

I'm also considering applying from my home country.

you have a clear reason but it needs to be shown through your documents and your SOP/Statement of Purpose

you can give Indian account but if they check it it might create delay.


I'm also considering applying from my home country.

If you have property in India then give documents it will show your home tie.
