Hello Guys,

I have taken the IELTS exam and also got my WES credentials evaluation done and my CRS score is 438 right now and I am currently single but will be getting married in September and with my spouse points added my CRS score still remains the same.
Therefore, when would be the best time to create my Express Entry Profile? Now or post marriage?

Can you please suggest what would be the best time for creating EE profile?

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
So, in that cased let's assume 2 possible scenarios:

1/ I create my EE and get an ITA before my marriage.
In this case, would the ITA be still valid if I get married in between?
How can I get the ITA for my spouse alongwith mine?

2/ I get my ITA after my marriage
Do I need to recreate my EE or is it allowed to update the exiting one?

Thank you!

You can create now but you cannot use her points before you get married. Now in case you do get ITA and submit before you get married as a single applicant, you will need to initiate PR process separately for her which can take an year, so choice is your's.

The bolded part is incorrect. He can raise a CSE and update IRCC on a change in family composition in order to add his spouse to his application.

So does it mean that only if one has got PR and landed then the time taken is long and while the process is still underway a CSE can be raised and IRCC entertains it?

1 - If you get married and haven't submitted your e-APR then if you include your spouse as "accompanying" there will be a recalculation of your points, if such recalculation results in you having a lower score than the cutoff then you'd have to decline the ITA.

2 - You can edit your profile.

3 - If you get married AFTER submitting your e-APR then no recalculation of points will occur and you'll be simply required to submit certain documents and forms (marriage certificate, spouse's medicals/PCC, etc).

Correct. As long as the applicant hasn't finished the landing process he/she must update IRCC on a change of family composition.

Thank you so much. However, I have some questions.
What does point 2 means (since we would be editing the profile anyway to add an accompanying member/spouse).
Also, does point 3 above mean that once I get an ITA and then I submit my e-APR and then I get married - Then, only my spouse's docs would be needed and no recalculations of points would be done?

sorry for so may then(s) above! :)

Point 2 means you need not recreate a profile.

You are correct in regards to point 3.
