What is ATIP Request?

Hello.. I applied for Canada visitor visa twice but refused. My purpose of visit was to visit my brother in Canada. I travelled to UK on student visa, visitor visa and had work visa also but never travelled on my work visa. Reasons for refusal were: a) family ties b) purpose of visit c) current employment stituation. i was working before marriage but i am house wife now and have no children yet. 2nd time I applied through representative coz I realised that first time I made some clerical mistake in filling d family info form, so jus to correct my previous mistake I applied again with d cover letter. Again refused bt with diff reasons a) travel history b) family ties c) purpose of visit d) personal assets and financial status.

Why travel history this time. My representative submitted my application at canada vfs office itself but I doubt that my representative submitted all the required documents carefully. Also I would like to kno more info on the reasons given for refusal.

Please help how can I get more info from consulate office.

I want to know that what type of info I can get through ATIP. Will they povide info on all d documents provided by me/my representative. And also I want to know VO's comments in detail.

Only a person who is canadian citizen, PR or in Canada can have that access. Brother is canadian PR. can he make request on my behalf?

You will be able to see the actual notes of the VO...when the VO rejects an application, in the rejection letter they only mention the reasons but when you get the ATIP notes, you see an explanation for those reasons as well.

Anybody can apply for ATIP as long as they have authorization....canadian RESIDENTS get it for free..others pay I guess $5...your brother can request on your behalf as long as you provide him with the authorization..

If you have concerns about actual documents sent to CIC you can make an ATIP request for the PHYSICAL file. This does not have a fee but it takes 2 months. Your brother can request them the same way he orders your GCMS notes which only take one month.

Thanks a lot fr ur replies. I would also like to kno about consent. How I can give consent to my brother. I seen there is a consent form available on the site. I want to know can I download that form and after filling it can i scan and send it to my bro online?

Thanks pippin. Also I have confusion in filling consent form. They ask about spouse's name (if applicable). What does applicable mean here? Same they ask for signatures. I am married. Do my spouse also have to sign that form. But only I applied for TRV. And all the info is given from my side. Also my spouse is out of country now. and cannot sign that form. Also, I would like to kno if we request for physical file. They will send it by post? I prefer by an email coz that is the fast way.

If you did not apply for a trv for your spouse you don't have to worry about her signature. If she
Was involved, you would have to include a consent from her to release her information. The Physical File may be too large to send by email and may come by post on a disc. GCMS is an email attachment.

Also if I order electronic file. Then also I wil get photocopy of all d documents attached?

Physical File is only way to get scan of documents. GCMS will only give you VO notes.

I want to VO comments along with the scanned copy of all documents.
