I want to apply for spousal sponsorship for my spouse.

I live in Mississauga and she lives in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Will she be a co-signer or she will be a co-signer only if she stays in Canada?

Kindly Help :(

an applicant (such as you wife) can not be a co-signer. A co-signer is when 2 people jointly sponsor other people to become a permanent resident. ie: husband and wife both sponsoring a parent. for spousal sponsorship, there is NO co-signer, so ignore everything that asks about a co-signer.

no, I will let others do that. What I will tell you is you need to do the homework yourself, and please don't expect anyone to give you the "minute" details of applying. It requires a lot of work, and i understand it's overwhelming.

if you want to know where to start, you can start at the top of this forum and read the very first post on the spousal sponsorship thread. Leon gives a great overview of the process, and even though it's a bit outdated, the process is still the same. then you will need to go to the CIC website and download your country specific guide and read it thoroughly. After you have done that, THEN come back with questions about details that are still confusing you. There is a lot of information already provided on here and in the guide that answers your questions. HELP US by helping yourself first.

Best of luck.
