According to the CIC website, the family class application for spousal sponsorship requires that I follow country specific guide if I am applying for permanent residence from outside Canada. Since I am a U.S. permanent resident and a Pakistani national which guide do I follow? U.S.? or both U.S. and Pakistan?

You use only the guide of the country you are applying through.
