What if the sponsor didn't write his information on the receipt (IMM 5401)?

my husband sent out our application package to CPC-Mississsauga 50 days ago but never got any process after that. no AR1 email, no DM1 email. many friends who sent out the package one month later than i have already got sthe DM1, so I;m worried.

i have had a lot of guessing for the reason.

one of them is i suspect that my husband didn't write his sponsor information on the receipt.
and he paid it with his mom's credit card via internet, so i guess the payer's is not him.

if he didn't write the sponsor information on the receipt, i think it it difficult fo the CPC-M officers to build a connection between Barbara and the sponsor of my case.

so what should i do?
what did you guys write on the receipt? the sponsor's name and date of birth or what else?

Good morning

I don't think you have to worry... when we submitted the application we didn't even include the IMM 5401... I missed the step of printing it... so we sent the transaction approval receipt for the visa payment. Nothing was written on the receipt either. Sponsorship approval came after CIC-M had the package for 28 days.
We called the call centre and they were supposed to send me a valid receipt.. but never received it.
Try not to worry you will likely hear something very soon!!

but i remember the guide 3900 said you must include the IMM 5401.

so i guess your case is an exception,. not the rule.

you are the lucky one, but i might not be so lucky.

but i have sent out my pacakge for 51 days. but i didn;'t even get an AR1!

people who submitted the package one month later than me have got their DM1, but i didn;t get AR1...
it seemed my package is lost!

I suggest you call the CIC number (888-242-2100 ) tomorrow morning and ask.

Even though you didn't write down anything on the receipt, they should match the receipt number with the application and mark it as fees paid.

I don't think, you should worry about this issue.

But, you may call them if you like.

Hi snowflake2012,

My understanding is that the information written on the receipt is only used for when a refund is needed. As for matching the receipt to the application, like mentioned earlier, it can easily be matched to your application through the receipt number
