Hi, I am very new here. My contract with the family is just under three months old, so naturally I have not taken a vacation. There was nothing mentioned in the contract about what happens if they go one holidays etc. the written agreement is I work 40hours a week. They did verbally mention that when they go away they will just pay me for the hours and we will "bank it". However since there is major conflict about many things (I was never covered on the health insurance etc) I will be leaving , just wondering if they are allowed to not pay even though I was available to work and we agreed I would get 40hours a week?
