What happens if your application is returned to you?

Hi all,

I was just wondering, if you submitted an application for PR, and you forgot to submit a piece of the relevant document.

I know that your implied status will be lost, but when the application is returned to you, do you also have to apply for restoration or do they give you a time frame to submit the necessary documents and if you don't, by that time you will become "illegal"?

And also, how do I withdraw my application of Open Work Permit at Vergeville?

Pls advice.

Hi,

Your question leads me to believe that you may be asking about an Inland application for spousal or common-law sponsorship. Is that correct?
If not, disregard most of what is written below...I think. :-\

If so, I don't believe that there is an implied status, per se, but rather and administrative policy by CIC that `allows' someone that's deemed out of status to stay in Canada while their application is being processed.

Depending on what you forgot to include, they may not return it to you (i.e., PCC or upfront medical). If you have a UCI number, or some way to match up your missing document(s) with your original application file (that's in CIC's possession right now), you might be able to send it and `hope' that it/they get matched up with your application.

I'm sure someone that has more knowledge will follow-up, but hope that my information is correct.

Good luck.
