What happens if my sponsor has been sponsored himself?

Hi,
me and my common-law partner are applying under the Family Class. I'm filling out the new checklist right now and I have a question regarding the section 4. Previous Relationships.
They are asking: Have you (the sponsor) previously been sponsored yourself for permanent residence?

My partner's father has been sponsored about 27 years ago. He then sponsored his wife and their kids (about 24 year ago). They moved here from Poland and are now Canadian Citizens, not sure if that's important. So yes, he has been sponsored himself.

However I'm not sure whether this question from section 4. Previous Relationships applies to being sponsored by a parent or only a common-law partner/spouse.

Hope someone can help! Thx.

I searched the Guide but I don't see any specific instructions for the Checklist.
From the heading of the section it would appear they're concentrating on previous marital relationships.
But if it was my application, I would answer that question with Yes and in the space for Full name, write the father's name and then write - PARENT
or - Father next to the name.

It won't be wrong, it will be providing full information.

HI

Does anyone have an idea?? ???
1 IRCC is referring to previous spousal sponsorships. Whether you have previously sponsored a spouse or if you were sponsored as a spouse
2. When all else fails, read the instructions
