What happens if an extension is refused? (only the status - visa exempt country)

Ha anybody been refused visitor status extension request?

What happens in this situation?
Do they ask you to sign / report with the immigration guys at the airport when leaving?
Or just leave, as everybody else?

How long time do they give you to leave after receiving the letter refusing your request?

You could be asked to report at the Port of Exit to confirm your departure from Canada.

The refusal letter will outline how long you have to depart and if you fail to do so that your file will be forwarded to CBSA for enforcement action that could result in a removal order against you.

If you ever intend returning to Canada in the future it would make sense even if not told to do so to check in with immigration on your departure so it can be noted you complied as required and the date that occurred.
