What happens during IP2?

Hi seniors,

My application finally entered IP2 after 4.5 months of waiting. Hope you can help me out with a few questions, as I'm really anxious about my application:

1. What usually happens during IP2?
2. Do people still get rejected at IP2?
3. How long does IP2 usually take before PPR? I want to know how long I have before I start panicking.

I'm quite concerned as I've recently read that a number of people seem to be stuck at this stage, so I hope you can help me!

background checks... security based mainly
it depends on how long - there is no one answer... for me it took 2 hrs to get PPR, but that was becoz security check was already going on for dont know how many years lol
But i have seen cases ranging from 1-2 weeks to several months, depends on the security checks they perform on you... so like i said - there is no one definite answer.

yes people will get rejected at IP2 also, but very very low chances
you can start panicking once you cross the 180 day mark... 4.5 months means 135 days - so you still have another 45 days before you can go crazy lol
