Hi everyone.

Can any of the forum members help me out with a query? A supervisa holder can stay for upto 2 years upon entry and then has to leave at the end of the period. Is it true that after this 2 year visit, subsequent visits are capped at 6 months? Can any of the forum members confirm this? Was anyone successful in obtaining a second 2 year stay for their parents/grandparents after the first 2 years had elapsed?

No - it's not true that subsequent visits are capped at six months. However if a super visa holder wants to return to Canada for another two years, then they should remain outside of Canada for a significant period of time (e.g. 12 months or more) before attempting to return to have the best chance of being given another 2 year visit.

The recent updates on the IRCC site are ambiguous and open to interpretation. I recommend you contact CBSA or your parents' local visa office to confirm this. And, please don't rely on the advice given by the CIC agents

Same here. Looking for any forum members experience whose parents stayed 1.5/2 years in first visit, parents left Canada for a period 6-12 months, and was successful to obtain another period of 2 years in second Canada visit.

Recent PDU: Supervisa Guidance - June 18, 2018 Does mention that each entry can be upto 2 years and says Instructions manuals of Border services officers have been updated.

However, unless we see how CBSA officers are operating for such scenarios after June 18 2018; we won’t know.
The PDU documentation above is not clearly explaining these scenarios.
