Now I'm in Barrie and just completed the orientation day on Oct 25. When I received my LOA of Georgian College, the requirement is I have to complete the EAP ( English for Academic Purposes) level 7 and 8 in order to start my program. What I concern is that on the LOA the college show terms of admission about EAP: Start date August 30,2017, alternative start date Oct 25, and End date Dec 15, 2017. If it end exactly like the LOA then I can start my program in time, but the problem is the invoice information shows this is 7 week term: $3000 and semester one fee: $6000. I paid fee $6000 that means I attend 2 level and in 14 weeks. When i read letter I thought that the college would make the schedule that i can attend my program in Jan 2018 in time. Right now I'm very confuse, if i spend 14 weeks on EAP program then when I complete (probably end in Feb 2018 without concern the strike right now) it'll pass the winter semester Jan 2018. I miss it and have to wait for Fall 2018. One of my friend in college said that I cannot stay in Canada 2 months if I not study anything. I have to come back to my country and wait for 7 months. I dont like that and i dont want to waste my time and money. I went to international center and they said it can be help I have come back to Vietnam if it's late. Oh, what about the end date on LOA, I cannot beleive that. I think about changing college. In Seneca have the program I want to study, and it start in summer 2018. To sum up,i have 2 questions: the information my friend telling me correct or not, and could someone have experience for changing college please help me with this? About the study permit and something I have to prepare for changing college. Thanks so much.
