What Does This Statement Mean From CIC

I sent an email to cic regarding my application status and i got an email witth the following statement.Please any one can tell me what does this mean?

Thank you for your enquiry.

We regret to inform you that the Centralised Intake Office in Sydney has
record of having received an application based on the information you
have provided.

Please note that if the following were missing / incorrect on the
application we will have returned it to the mailing address provided on
the forms. We do not retain records for applications which have been
returned.

Are you sure these are the exact contents of the letter, because the first statement in my opinion is grammatically incorrect.

well Guys, I am NOT getting my answer in here, actually i got that email today from CIC and i do not understand the content of the text infect. I just want to know .

1. If they CIO has received my application and were sent back to my address because of some error OR
2. If they have not received my application so For.

That is the only thing i have asked in here. so Please you all read the first post carefully and tell me what does that statement mean from CIC.

OK, fair enough. Let us "slaughter" the statements one by one.

The first statement, in my view means, that they confirm that they received an application based on the information you
have provided i.e the queried application.
However, since they say they "regret to inform" you, that means, in my view, that they sent it back.


The second statement kind of qualifies the first statement by saying that the "following were missing / incorrect on the
application and such due the missing/incorrect information, "we will have returned it to the mailing address provided on the forms".
Thus, no further information can be given to you as "We do not retain records for applications which have been
returned."

Now, again, what is the following were missing? Did they mention anything in the letter or list the things that were missing?

Must be a typographical error on the part of the writer. Indeed it should say "NO" record. It is most likely this one though. They have received your application but was sent back to you due to incomplete information.

Yesterday It has been exactly 4 months since I sent my application to CIO under FSW ,But so for I have not received any AOR from them After I inquired the application form I got an E-mail which i have already pasted for you people. and i was wondering how come the CIO won't sent anyone an AOR even after passing 4 Months of period, But after your detail post It is clear that They had my application but were sent back to my address. Now The question is.

1. Where is that Application Form has Gone and why I have not Received Back from CIO ? I have not received anything back from them so for.

2. What about the DD of 1100 CA$ inside the envelope? Have the Cashed the DD or not ? I have asked the bank the said, we cant track your DD.

Now in This situation I dun know what to do ? where is the application Form and what about my 1100 Ca$. I really need of you people Please.

and Here is the complete E-mail I have received ( sorry at First I intentionally I was not williing to paste the whole E-mail)

If I were you, I will write them again, explaining the reasons why you inquired about the status of your application in the opening of the letter in the first place.
Then, write that you never/have not received your (application form and that you are of the opinion that you should normally be refunded your DD/sent back your DD. Also explain that, as this was DD (Demand Draft), according to your bank, there is no way they can trace records of it, that is to say, whether it had been en-cashed or not and as such beg there kind office to please help in verifying for you from their concerned offices.

Alternatively, if they can verify that it has indeed been en-cashed by their office(s), whether it is OK for you to send in another fully completed application form without another bank draft.

(Do you have a Photocopy of the DD)?

Yeah Bobby sure I will write them again now what you have mentioned , Unfortunately I have not a photocopy of That DD, But i do have the Number of that DD. I am really tensed now, it means they have wasted my 4 good months for being nothing. I once again thankful to your replies.and I Hope you will help me again. Thanks

Has the DD been encashed? Can your bank help you find that out?
Also did you send the application by recorded delivery? If so, then you have proof that they received it.
In any case Id repeat - its worth writing to them once again.

My bank can not track the DD whether It has en cashed or not yet, no one knows about it.and I had sent my application through post office. Well Its per sure the CIO had received my application, But I do not know It CIO has en cashed my DD or not?I will have to write them again and explain the situation.

I wrote down an E-mail to CHC London instead to CIO directly, because My case had to deal by CHC london by that Time.
