Hello guys, i need your help. I just received an email from the school i applied today. Can someone tell me what a waitlisted mean? Does it mean my LOA is not sure yet?

Based on a preliminary review you have met all the requirements and you have been conditionally added to the eligibility/waitlist.

Applicants who are assessed as eligible and subsequently receive a letter of acceptance may have the letter of acceptance rescinded if the original documents are not verified. For documents which you upload, please ensure you maintain the original copies as verification of these and the submission of the originals to the college may be required prior to the start of your studies at CNA.

When a person who had applied and accepted before you, defers or rejects their application, you will be given the offer of acceptance. Candidates would have applied for multiple colleges and accepted all the offers, but will finally decide to go for one college. IF the slots open, then you will receive a letter.

Or

It is just a stage in the college you have applied, where the admission team will just check if you are eligible for the course requirements. If yes, then it will be sent to the department you applied for, for a final review and decision.

While chances of getting off the wait list depends on how competitive and selective the school is, it is important you look to alternative options. Historically, chances are you won't get off the waitlist.
