Most of us have confusion about what all documents we need to send to WES for ECA. I will tell you about general scenario and you may figure it out for your specific case.
To begin your WES process you first need to generate WES Reference number and the process to generate it is very easy, no special knowledge required.
If you have done bachelors in engineering then following documents you require to submit.
You don't have to worry about getting transcripts for WES. All it says to submit is statements of marks and degree certificate.
Documents to be attested from College
1. For 2nd and 3rd year (Seems III, IV, V, VI) you need to get your mark sheets attested from college and ask your college admin to give you college envelops which may cost you 20 to 30 bucks.
2. Fill up the first part of WES form which you can get from WES site and request college admin to fill up the second part of the form with stamps and sign whatever is required.
3. Put all the documents (Total 5 sheets) and mention WES address and reference number on the envelop you bought from college and ask admin staff to stamp, sign and seal it on back flap.
4. Do not mention your name or any of your details on this envelop.
5. Ask your college admin which post office they use for courier services. Generally colleges use India Post office which is located in the same area. Locate respective post office and courier it to Canada WES address. Again do not mention any of your contact details or anything.
6. Post office person will mention college address in from and WES address in To.
7. Pay the amount which generally costs up to 1500 and your work is done. They will give you tracking number on which you can track your parcel.
8. College attestation can be done on the same day.

1. For first and last year of engineering you may need to follow the whole process with University instead of college.
2. Documents you need to get attested from university are mark sheets of 1st and last year (Sems I,II, VII, VIII) along with degree certificate of 1st and last year + convocation certificate. (Total 8 sheets)
3. Mumbai University does not give envelop (you need to carry 2 envelops), but they will have stamp of university address which they would give on the envelop.
4. Generally University takes 8 -10 days for attestation process, but if you have some critical urgencies then on producing related evidences they could help you to get your work done on the same day (may need to pay some extra charges)
5. Follow steps 2 to 7 for the further process just get all the respective details from University instead of college and follow accordingly.
One Simple tip for attestation: On the top of the result, name of the institute conducting the exam is always mentioned. You need to get your mark sheets attested from that body. You don't require any transcripts for WES. They ask you for your mark sheets only. Get a clear black and white Xerox copies though.
