I have a quick question...my husband went for his medicals in February so apparently the DMP neglected to give him that confirmation form. So i personally called him and he said he sent it over to Kenya where they send the results n everything. So now i need that form since it is required but the dmp says he doesn't have it anymore and they dont make copies, hes actually saying tell immigration to retrieve his file from Kenya. So should i just write a letter mentioning this together with the application or what? Thats the only thing holding us back from sending our application to Mississauga..Confused.. :-[ :-[ :-[

u prob have to get them re-done...sorry!

are you able to get the DMP to send you an email or some sort of proof to say they did the medical, they sent the other portion to the VO and that they didn't give you the copy you need to include in your application???
It's the DMPs fault, put the pressure on them to give you some sort of an explanation to include in your application.

You can also write an explanation why it's not there and that in fact your husband did go and do a medical. Give the DMPs full information, name, address, city, etc...

I dont think he needs to REDO it...and pay again for it.

Good luck :)

At this point I would re-do it. Who's to say Nairobi could even match up your file with a random med form they received 6 months prior? Plus your meds will expire in Feb, and you won't be done processing in Nairobi by then so you'll have to do them again anyways.

Sorry!

Thank you all for your help, I called immigration today and they advised me to write a letter telling them that he got his medicals done and s well to include the doctors name and address and telephone number etc. So hopefully thats sufficient enough. My file will be processed in Pretoria, I dont know why the medicals are processed in Nairobi.

medicals are processed regionally, not necessarily in the country of residence--Nairobi happens to be the closest RMC (regional medical centre) to you.

I actually had something very similar happen to me. My DMP thought I was doing an inland Canada filing (there was a language barrier since my French is really awful) and not outside, so all they did was give me a receipt with their stamp on it and not the form I was supposed to send in with the application. Last week, I contacted both my RMC (ottawa) and Buffalo to tell them what happened. They are looking into finding my results and didn't say anything about having to redo them.

I have great hope that they'll be able to find both yours and mine's since they have the doctor's information and our names...they just needed to be informed to look for them :) They are in the right place after all, we just don't have the correct form with the application.
