Hello!
I have applied for FSW in May2014 and in August noticed that my CC was charged. In my application I indicated a postal address and an email address. I would very much appreciate if someone could let me know the following: how will CIC communicate with me? by email only or will send me post too? If by post, will this be normal post or recorded post?
The reason I am asking is because I am a foreigner in China and in the last few months noticed that 1) nearly all of my post from abroad does not arrive; 2) the few letters that arrive, do so between 2 - 4 months after being posted (although sent by airmail). Only registered mail is guarantee to arrive but is always tampered with. I know that my normal post is being deliberately retained somewhere between Customs and the local Post Office (until the end of 2013 I had no major problems with the post and I suspect it all has to do with the current political situation in China). Unfortunately I only came to realize this problem after sending in my FSW application. Related to this, can anyone please suggest who (and how) should I contact in CIC to make a change to my postal address so as to receive any post outside China (it can then be sent to me safely by private courier). Please note that, so far, I have not received any communication from CIC and I do not expect to receive any if only sent by Post.
Many thanks for any information you may be able to share,
Paul
