What can I use for “Proof of relationship?”

Hi,

My parents have applied for a tourist visa to Canada. The New Delhi consulate is asking for a “proof of relationship”.

I have already submitted my 10th and 12th board certificates clearly showing my name and date of birth. Copies of my passport pages are already there.

I am not sure what else I can use as a proof of relationship with my parents.

Thanks,

MG.

They're probably asking you for a birth certificate where it states the name of your parents.

Your birth certificate, of course.

Thanks folks.

I don't have my birth certificate. To tell you the truth, I never required it until now. For example, for my passport I had used my 10th board certificate, which has my date of birth.

What else can I do?

Can't your parents obtain a copy of your birth certificate? What about old income taxes when you were their dependent?
