9. Culture
Culturally I fit in much much better in Canada and I always felt at home here. I like the politeness, random kindness and the more laid-back attitude in life. I love the nature here. I love being gay is highly accepted here (socially and legally). I love the climate (I would prefer 12-month of winter if it's possible).
Canada is not a perfect country by any means but I thought it's the closest to perfection for me 6 years ago when I decided and I still hold this belief today. I've been flying a Canadian flag on my balcony long before I became a PR a month ago.
I am definitely an exception among immigrants tho.
