Are you able to show how this proposed VFX course either differs from or progresses from your 2017-2020 VFX course ? And also how studying in Canada improves your prospects on returning to your home country ?

i have read on other post that maac certificate is of no value, then how should i justify my 2 years of gap, and also what other important points i have to mention in the sop. i have not applied for visa yet, just want to know what are the chances of my visa application.

The Maac vfx course that you did, was it a 3 years diploma & does that course make you eligible for a postgraduate program ? If it makes you eligible then going for a diploma program in Canada might result in a rejection because from a visa officer’s point of view: your course of study should be progressive. (I know doing the diploma course from Canada might be beneficial to you but most likely the visa officer might not see it that way even if you give your best explaining about it in your SOP, it will be quite subjective but if you are able to secure a post graduate level of degree then you are set, Seneca offers a good Graduate Certificate in VfX !!!)

& if the Maac vfx course you did doesn’t qualify you for a post graduate level of course, then you have a good chance if you Are able to explain clearly and vividly in your SOP that the course you did earlier worked as a base but the quality of education in this field in India is not of good standard hence you are again opting for a diploma course in Canada as that will be definitely a step higher because of the exemplary resources available at Canadore (also mention that your earlier course will definitely help you meet the rigorous standard of canadore college).
but even thenthe decision of the Visa Officer can be subjective since I believe the course you are willing to pursue is not an advanced diploma.

The program I did at maac was a certifcate course so i dont think I am eligible for post graduation.
the course was of 2 year, but the end date of the program was extended as they were not be able to cover all the softwares, so i asked them to issue me a bonafide certificate and request them to mention start and end date of my program (2017 may - 2019 dec).

The request if granted will be good for you I think, since you won’t have to explain any further to the Visa Officer about the wicked duration of your course.
So I think if you draft a very clear letter of explanation stating that since childhood you loved the idea of CGI etc and watching sci-fi movies, furthermore getting curious & leading to a deep fascination towards the concept !!! Then you can say: so anyhow to excel in the field due to lack of exposure & resources till your 12th standard, you had to go for a certificate course in order to create a base for your future aspirations (in order to qualify yourself to get an admission at some degree level program you had to invest in a certificate program) … so now that you have the certificate you have become well rehearsed to meet the rigours of the program. Also, don’t forget to mention about the scope of job opportunities back in India based on your diploma from canadore (how big bollywood is and how much the big banner movies are investing on VFX these days, talk about the massive growth of our Indian film scene !)
All the things that I said above are just my interpretation of it but the final decision has to come from your end, you know what you want from the course and why you took that path, so make sure you convey everything cleverly from a study permit’s perspective !!!
Additionally, I will also like to ask: isn’t it possible for you to file an application through SDS (as I reckon if you file through SDS the financial part can be simplified if you simply get a year’s GIC & pay first year’s tuition fee, moreover attaching bank statement as well to convince the visa officer that you can support your studies for the second year as well) ?

I greatly appreciate your help.
sorry, I mistakenly wrote spp instead of sds.i will be applying under sds program.i have paid the gic and the first year's tution fees, only sop and medical test is left.
i have one more concern - i have lost my hsc transcript(2015 - 2016), but i do have soft copy of it. will it create an issue in visa process?

Soft copy of the original document, right ? Anyways you will have to attach the soft copy when applying… so no concern, but I will suggest you apply for it soon for future references before travelling to canada.
and no worries, glad I could be of some help
