What about the SIN?

Hey guys, I am still a bit confused here. So I am applying 2 universities in Ontario and 1 university in Manitoba, when is the good time to start the SIN applications? Do I need to mention it in my applications for now or is it something I need to worry about after I land?

There are some international students said that in their student IDs says something like you do not have permission to work or something like that?
