What a dilemma! After PPR from ADVO last January 11, I thought my visa will soon be at hand.
Yesterday, I received a call from ADVO. The good news is, they received my passport. The BAD news ..…my visa was put on hold because their system is not showing the RPRF receipt confirmation from CPC Vegreville. My wife paid CND 980 for RPRF before her landing interview in Canada last November 2014.
Why ADVO is not aware about the payment? As I understood, the CIC office who conducted the final interview for PR will notify the overseas visa offices that the principal applicant has landed. Therefore, my wife cannot become a PR and the visa office in Manila will not issue the visa and COPR for my son if she did not complete the requirements for landing (i.e. RPRF).
In my PPR letter, the only documents required by ADVO for my visa stamping are my Original Passport and 2 pieces of ID photos. Now that they received my passport, they want this confirmation from Vegreville, which is now causing a set-back. This is really confusing because during the telephone conversation, the ADVO agent told me that my wife should call and follow-up with CIC Vegreville so they can provide the RPRF confirmation to ADVO. Unfortunately, there is no contact number for Vegreville except CIC call centers.
My wife called several times yesterday to CIC and she was getting different answers from the call center agents. The agents were wondering why my wife was the one to notify CPC Vegreville when ADVO have their full access on our file information.
Now it seems that my hope to receive my visa this month is far. Anyone here who had experienced the same situation as mine. I need your advises please.
