My highest degree is Master's but in my WES bachelor's report, the name is incorrect.

In my bachelor's transcript it says "firstname father-name lastname". In WES report, since it's translated from Russian it is "lastname firstname father-name" where in "father-name" instead of "J" they used "Zh" (though in transcript it's "J")

In rest of my documents it's "firstname lastname". It's father's name in two different spellings.

What should I do now?

IMO you have three option, you need to decide which to go with:
  1. Ideally you should get WES to correct the spelling to match transcript (if the transcript has the correct name). BEST
  2. Alternately you can add your transcript to the Education pdf (alongwith the Degree Certificate, WES) and mention in the Letter of Explanation that WES had spelt it incorrectly. You will also need to explain why you didn't try to get WES to correct it. RISKY
  3. Leave it as is, and go with the 'used other name'+'legal name doc'+'letter of explanation' option mentioned earlier. EASIEST
All the best !

I think it can be explained in the LOE. MY last name was spelled differently which I explained and no issues according to gcms notes

There's also another mistake (supposedly) in WES report:

The WES report indicates the "country" of my Master’s degrees to be United States of America. I attended an American school which is affiliated with the University of California and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). However, the geographic location of this school is NOT in United States.

Is the "country" in WES, the issuing country of the degree or where the school is actually located?

I also wonder if I ask WES for correction and they do it, will they assign a new WES number or it would remain unchanged?
