WES - Quick question regarding document for ECA

Hi guys...

I have one doubt regarding documentation needed for education credential assessment (ECA).

Three weeks ago, I graduated at my University and got my Master’s degree diploma.
It is a practice at my University that Diploma (real physical paper version) is issued once per year.
In my case I would have to wait until September/October 2018 for this to get my original Diploma, in paper.

In the meantime, my University gave me an official Certificate where it is clearly stated what year I was enrolled on Master’s program, which Master’s program it was and how long it lasted, what was my average score at the end according to Bologna process ... etc. Practically everything which shall later be later on printed on the real Diploma was put here on this Certificate .. word-to-word. Furthermore, it is clearly stated that this Certificate serves as evidence of acquired higher education in the level of Masters and that it could be used as Diploma until the Diploma, in paper, is issued. Beside this Certificate I also got a standard Supplement with all courses taken and final marks.

Question is ... could I send copies of the official Certificate and Supplement which I got from the University along with translations in order to apply for assessment or do I really have to wait until September/October next year until I get official Diploma (in paper)? In case I have to wait, I will lose 5 additional points as age factor for applying to Express Entry.

As per few threads I have visited while I was doing ECA, you CAN send the copy of the official certificate and supplement as long as transcripts are being provided by your institute to validate your ECA. The ECA authorities are aware of this delay in actual certificate and verify the documents as long as they get transcripts from University and the same score is reflected in your supplement or copy of the official certificate.

But on the safer side, get this query checked from the WES or any other ECA authority as well from where you are going to get your education verified.
