WES Evaluation

Hi Guys :)

My first post so please bear with me!

A couple of months back an agency told me that I would be eligible for Canadian immigration ... this when I had assumed that with my age (47+) was beyond all eligibility. The only condition they told me is that I would need to get the highest band in IELTS. This I promptly did along with a lot of the paperwork (sending my docs to WES, Police Clearance, work experience certificates, etc.) only to be told last week that WES got back to the agent stating that my Masters would only be considered as a 4 year bachelors and therefore I do not qualify (as the 2 extra points were absolutely necessary). How unfortunate :(

Well, I did a 3 year degree for which I obtained a B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce). WES evaluated this as equivalent to a 3 year Bachelor degree ... and rightly so. Following my B.Com, I did a 2 year Masters degree for which I earned an M.Com. Now, this was from a regular college/ university for which I attended regular class. No, not part time, not evening class. It was a full time course. WES got back stating that this was only equivalent to a 4 year bachelor degree in Canada. How strange ??? Aren't all Master degrees of 3 year duration? Why this? Why me? Why??

Would any of you'll with the experience advise me on the possibility of turning the decision? Is it possible at all? Or would you advise me to just give it all up and forget Canada as a place to migrate to? Would writing/ pleading/ begging WES help ;D Do you'll know an address (email) I can write to?

Looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel ;)

Cheers!
