WES Evaluation Reasons?

Hey guys,

Got my ECA result today and its say "One semester of post-secondary study" but I did a ***TWO*** year BTEC Level 3 National Certificate??

This have given me less points now and may not qualify???

They come at different lengths but if you see the link I sent thats the exact 2 Year program I did.

Is says diploma!!! so that should fetch you more points.. did you write back to WES?

WES are soon DUMB!

SO I submitted my papers which was Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Certificate pre 2010 (which is when the structure changed) so they have said the equivalent is one year as per this table http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/ECA_table_EN.pdf .

But my certificate is pre 2010!!! So as you can see from table on page 2 of this pdf below that my Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Certificate pre 2010 is equal to Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma and therefore I should get points as a diploma NOT a certificate

WOW now I'm going to have to wait another month before they decide to fix my evaluation! Cheers WES!!

Finally got a reply and once the re-evaluated it they still say the original evaluation is correct which I still don't understand so its bye bye FSW program for me :'(

WES is not the only company that does the ECA. Assessing two years of post-secondary study as one semester sounds crazy if you were actually awarded the diploma.

Check with ICAS http://www.icascanada.ca/fsw/home.aspx

Or check CES http://learn.utoronto.ca/international-professionals/comparative-education-service-ces

Yeh I hear that! thanks for the recommendation but will have to pay the fees all again and do the long old wait 18weeks!

Going to go with the IEC and CEC route as at least I'll be out there 8)
