Hello All,

I have got my study permit and will be landing next month as a student in Canada. I was going through my prospective work options upon graduation and have one query. I have studied B.E in IT from Goa University. And now will be pursuing my MSc. degree in Canada. On successful completion of this degree, is it still advisable for me to get my B.E degree evaluated from the perspective of applying for a P.R or getting a job in Canada?

Because I saw on the CIC website that Masters degree has higher score than a plain Bachelors degree so would it make sense to evaluate my Bachelors if i wont be getting any points? Also will my unevaluted bachelors from India hinder my job prospects considering I have a master's degree from Canada itself?

You will need to get the equivalence of the degree on the basis of which you will be applying for PR to get the maximum points. I think MSc from Canada will definitely have more points

Yes, exactly my query.. See I'll be doing my masters in Canada and can surely show that degree without any evaluation. Now on the CIC site, for Masters there's a higher tier and for only bachelors there are lower tiers... So if I will be applying for the masters tier, do I need to show my evaluated degree? Can someone enlighten me from their past experience please?
