Hi All,

Please consider sharing your thoughts on this. I am starting my journey for the PR and first step I have taken is to send my documents to WES via University for Evaluation. I do have one confusion though.

I have completed 3 year BBA (2012-2015) & 1 Year PGDBA (2015-2016). I have send both the documents to WES. Will WES Recognize my One Year diploma or Will I only get point for Bachelors?

Both the Degree & Diploma are done through Central Govt. University of India. Waiting for your valuable inputs.

Thanks in Advanced.

In India, some 3 year course are considered as a Degree (like BCA/BBA) but in Canada such 3 year courses are considered as 3 years Diploma.
WES considers a 4 year degree as a Bachelors Degree.

Since your total education is 4 years (3+1), most probably WES will award you as a 4 years Bachelors Degree.

I have seen some people having success by sending only their 3 yr Bachelors Degree to WES and the Post-Grad Diploma to ICAS/CES etc. instead
So some of them receive evaluation as a 3 years Bachelors Degree from WES and 1 yr Post Grad Diploma from IQAS/ICAS (which can be claimed under 2 or more degrees for extra points)

Thank you for your reply, Jester. My University sent document to WES in an Open Envelope so it was rejected. Sent the documents again yesterday and let's see what happens.

@jester10 - Just a quick question Buddy.

Is it possible to Get PR by just a Bachelors degree? Or Maters/PG Degree is Absolutely required?

If only Bachelors, I am getting the CRS of 432.
If PG/Masters, then I am getting score of 469/475.

@Arpit_T Sorry had been away.

Having a Bachelors/Masters does not guarantee PR in any way. It's your luck more than anything, and also your CRS score.

If your CRS score is high then the higher the chances you have. It does not matter whether you get that score by having a Bachelors/Masters or having bilingual language abilities. Just get that CRS anyhow.
