Hi Seniors.

This might seems to be too personalized question but would be great if you can help me with my query.

I am currently pursuing Masters program and the program can take 2 paths. 1 is i can do the traditional way and complete 1 year of course work with 30 credits and another year of research with thesis. Second option is to exclude the thesis and get the masters degree as a 1 year degree by course work. So i am wondering if i stop my masters degree without doing the thesis, still its considered to be a masters degree in WES evaluation or does it considered as a post graduate diploma?

Thanks in advance

Hi,
As far as what I have understood is, you need to complete 120 credits to get a masters degree equivalent from WES. (including thesis)
without thesis it will be considered Post Diploma and not a degree

You should ask yourself why you chose to pursue this in the first place, if it was just to get those extra 7 points you should try and make sure that cutting it short still gets you those extra points.

A university education will remain with you for life. Influencing it's outcome basis what an accreditation body may decide is too expedient
