Hi All,

I had applied for ECA through WES for my BSC and MSC degrees. WES had completed the ECA and send me the report for MSC only. They have missed ECA for BSC.

Please suggest me what to do now ? I have already send mail to WES regarding this error but till not received any reply.

Regards,
BB.

Hello BB,

Call them up buddy. It is must to have the evaluation of both BSC and MSC in your ECA report.

Good Luck.

If the evaluation of your MSc is equivalent to a MSc in Canada then there is no need to include your BSc as you've already scored maximum points for education.

Thanks karenn1617,Anya654.

They have evaluated as Bachelors (four years) only. I want ECA for my Bsc too.

Really worries. What to do ?

Hello there,

Can you please copy your report here.

Best,
K

There is nothing missing or to be evaluated further. The collective equivalency of both your degrees is a 4 year Bachelors in Canada.

Asivad is completely correct. Your both the degrees are evaluated as equivalent to Canadian Bachelor's degree (four years).

@ Asivad - Brother, that means that the same thing will happen with me too!! :-[

Anyway, whats done is done.. i will try to increase my score on other aspects. Tell me my friend, if i do another 1 year post graduate diploma program the would they consider my 10+2 + 3(Bachelors)+ 2(Masters) + 1(PGDm) degree program equal to Canadian masters?

How does one increase their score that way? because if ECA gives me that reports then i will loose a total of 40 points in my CRS score which will be a big blow in-spite of acing my scores in all other areas.. total comes to 416 or 426 only!! :'(

I need 450 and above to stand a good chance.

Have you tried getting a provisional assessment from WES? It is free and takes all of 10 minutes to understand what your degrees are worth in Canada.

Guys,

Please try to the online demo WES provides for our degree equivalence . It is free and 10 min as Asivad said. I did that before applying.

Also yes Indian Msc is equaivalent to 4 yrs Bachelors,..

I think MCA they are considering as Masters, but not sure.. please check

Yes asivad. i did use that tool brother but my university is not mentioned on that list. Hence i feel like they will consider mine as a bachelor's equivalent too.

Anyway, my real question was, what if i do additional 1 year PGDm degree, will that make it master's equivalent?

The only way to answer that conclusively would be to go back to the WES site and search for the University and program that you have in mind.

I haven't seen any instances yet of WES equalizing a Postgraduate diploma to a Canadian Masters - of course I could be wrong.
