Hi All,

I am in a very interesting situation and even my consultant can't be sure what to expect in this case.

So I have collected 52 weeks of Canadian work experience. I did this calculation based on the weeks I worked at least 30 hours, so I am safe with that.

However, when I calculate the number of days I worked, it adds up to 360 days. So based on the days I am 5 days short.

Please let me know whether I am eligible or not under CEC.

Thanks so much!

if you're worried about those 5 work days wouldn't you have them anyways in a week?

Here's how it happens:

I worked 53 weeks in total - two of them being half weeks so they add up to one full week.

I left my first job on a Tuesday (the first half week) so I lost 5 calendar days from that week.
I started my second job on a Wednesday (the second half week) so I lost another 4 calendar days from that week.
My last day at my 2nd job was a Friday (This is a full week) so I lost another 2 calendar days

So, although I worked 53 weeks which adds up 372 days, the calendar days I am missing above brings it down to less than 365 days.

Please advise if I should apply.

Thanks!

By my count :
First Job: Oct. 17, 2016 to Feb. 22 2017 = 18 complete weeks
Second Job: March 29, 2017, to Nov. 17, 2017 = 33 complete weeks

total of 51 weeks. Ordinarily I would say, you need another week just to be sure, but it looks like you are not working any more.

You did work 2 partial weeks (6 days) that combined, could make up the final week. A VO would probably give it to you.

Don't worry about the days, not sure how you're getting those numbers anyway. But VOs will count the weeks.

Thank you so much Jes, I will receive an ITA today as I am at over 460 points, do you believe it's worth submitting an application in this case?

My first advice would be to work a couple of extra weeks to give yourself a bit of a safety, a buffer to ensure your eligibility.

If that is truly not possible, then I would say to accept the ITA and apply.

Unfortunately, my wp expired. I will apply and hope for the best. Thank you so much!
