Hi all,
We are planning to apply for a TRV under dual intent (I am a Canadian currently sponsoring my husband for permanent residence). We were wed in a civil ceremony in May but have a VERY large church wedding planned in his country in November. We have proof of a reception venue booked, photographer booked, my dress purchased, and itineraries for all of my family and friends which show they have flights and hotels booked (and paid for) for the wedding (so far 13 people) as well as invitations sent to 100 people.
I am going to Canada for a month in October, to visit with family, attend my graduation, and prepare last minute items for the wedding and I would LOVE for him to be able to come with me. Do you think having a large wedding planned in his country would be sufficient proof of his intent to leave Canada after a month visit?
My mom is writing an invitation letter from Canada, and is providing her work info and income. My SO has a job (albeit with a low salary) but together we have a lot of savings. He is enrolled in school and has property here.
Any thoughts? I know that dual intent visas are extremely difficult to get approved...
Thanks to all!
