Really depends on what type of job you are looking for. Personally wouldn’t move unless I had a job offer if you are currently employed in Toronto. Is there a reason you are focusing on Edmonton and not considering anywhere else in Canada?

Weather can be horrible in winters, summers are good for most part. There aren't many tech jobs in Edmonton. So depends on your area of work. It is cheaper than Toronto though.
