Hi,
Even though we reviewed and reviewed our application many times, we submitted a version of the application that had the surname and given name mixed up for my spouse's portion (principal applicant)! It must have happened while we had to recreate the forms (IMM0008 I believe) many times because once saved, Adobe Acrobat wouldn't let us edit. I am sponsoring my wife in South Korea.
Anyway, our mistake. In fact, I also was mortified to find that my spouse's photos that she sent me was in my suitcase after I sent the application - so we have two mistakes. I forgot to send her photos and also mixed up the first/last names.
I received an AOR1 today, saying they received it on Oct 31st. I've tried the call center a few minutes ago and it's too busy, so while I wait...
Is this a common issue? I doubt they fix our mistake for us, based on the passport and other documentation we sent, would they?
Also, in the AOR1 it said my wife's name like this: FIRSTNAME LASTNAME. Is it normally in that format? If it's normally LASTNAME FIRSTNAME, then I know for sure that my application is messed up!
Assuming that the application has to be redone, will they send us back the application and we basically do it again from scratch?
I'm pretty sad, since we spent months on this application, but ... it's actually kind of typical of me. Overprepare on the most minute details, then make the most obvious error.
Thanks for reading.
