Landed recently, "short" or "soft" landing. The officer took my CoPR & passport, entered some things into a computer, asked me a couple questions, had me sign, stamped paperwork, that was it. At the time I thought it was great it was such an easy process, but after some celebratory hockey- and curling-watching, I realized...I think what isn't claimed at landing as "accompanying" or "to follow" is then subject to tax? What are possible repercussions of not claiming any goods, even if I wasn't asked to?
Somewhat related: Can I take my US-licensed car across the border for a weekend? Or is not allowed in Canada at all until it is imported?
Totally unrelated, why doesn't canadavisa.com use https?
Thanks as always for helping me navigate this process!
