Washington Consulate for Study Permit, 6 Weeks, still waiting.

I sent my application on April 1st, and they cashed in my check on April 11, but I have never gotten any response. I confused how many days for the study permit. I wanna my passport, and who know how to connect embassy? Do u know email? I cannot find the email of Washington.Thanking!

Though, most of the time you get automated response. With differing auto responses, I do have a feeling that someone reads through the mail.

Also, any idea if they allow walk in after mailing the application, did u explore anything on this...I am on the same boat

Also, I applied my Visitor Visa in Buffalo through mail and collected it in person, so you can always try that. Just make sure you email them and get a confirmation before traveling to avoid a situation where you reach there and passport is already dispatched. All the best.

This was in 2009, I believe now all Canadian embassies have stopped accepting In person applications except for Washington. Not sure how far it is from the radar

OH! I thought this year 2012. so only Washington accept walk in applicants. My visa was expired, can i go there to apply for visa and re-enter Canada only with a valid work permit??

There is another Bomb that Canadian Embassy dropped on aspirants like us yesterday, go to their home site and you will see it. The only 2 embassy which do Work and Study visa effective immediately are New York and Los Angeles. They shut down Buffalo and made all others only for visitor Visa
