I have been married for almost three years and have just sent in my application. Was anyone else married for more than 2 years at the time of their application and how long did the process take?

I was married for over 8 years. However, that really isn't all that relevant, as each visa office and each application is different. Also, the processing time averages vary from month to month. You can maybe get some idea from others who are processed via the same visa office as yours.

My husband and I had been together for five years and married for two and a half years when he filed for permanent residency. He's American. The entire process took six months. We mailed the application Dec. 29, 2016 and he landed June 23, 2017.

So after 8 years how did your processing go?

You need to understand that processing times vary depending on the location of the visa office, strength of the application, etc. All you've told us is that youve been married two years, and on one of your threads, you even asked if your app would be refused despite giving limited info on your case

My case is straight forward married to my spouse for almost 3 years and been together for a total of 6 years. I only asked about being refused because until now I didn' know people waited for over 2 years to send there application so I thought it was me alone so I got scared. We only waited this long because of 2 pregnancies and was put on serious bedrest and was told by my doctors not to stress at the moment.

5 months through the London visa office. But, that was back in 2013, so that has no bearing on the current situation. LVO screwed up a couple of things that added a delay.

does not matter if you are married for 2 years or 20 years, ircc with follow their process processing the app. expect to wait 5-9 months

I don`t think it speeds anything up, might make it a bit easier for them to assess if the relationship is genuine, still got all the background checks etc which seem to take the most time.
