Wanting to immigrate to Canada.

Hi,

I am 20 Years old from the united kingdom and I am currently on a program with the Canadian Government called "international Experience Canada" the program allows young people under the age of 35 to work and travel in Canada for 2, one year work permits. I don't have any qualifications besides my English GSCE's.

I am coming to the end of my 2nd year and I really want to stay and become a citizen of Canada, I live just north of Toronto, Ontario and I am working in a Tim Hortons, where I have worked for the 2 period I have been here.

I live with two very close Family friends who have said if they can do anything to help, they will help me.

Any help or suggestions with my quest of immigrating to Canada would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Charles.

Do you have a managerial job at Tim's? If so, have you had that managerial job for at least one full year?

I don't have a managerial job at Tim's no, I have been offered an Assistant Manager job though.
Is it possible for the people I live with to sponsor me? Even if we are not related I have been living with them for around 2 years.

No - they can't sponsor you. The only person who would be able to sponsor you is your spouse or common law partner.

I don't see an obvious immigration path for you right now. You don't qualify under CEC because your work experience isn't skilled. Skilled worker / skilled trades is out.

If you can get a skilled job offer from an employer in Canada then you might qualify to apply through the federal skilled worker program (if you meet the other criteria).

If you're willing to go back to school you could go the student permit route. However this is an expensive option and doesn't necessarily guarantee PR.
